Mitchell Berman
Interim CEO
Mr. Mitchell Berman is a 35-year entertainment and technology media veteran, who has participated in the launch of 6 start-ups and a successful IPO. These initiatives span social enterprise, mobile/PC games, streaming OTT video, e-commerce, education technology, eSports, video-on-demand, interactive television, cable and satellite entertainment television channels, digital music, YouTube influencer channels, augmented & virtual reality, and subscription based entertainment products and services.
Mitch has previously served in various senior management capacities with Home Box Office (HBO/Cinemax), E! Entertainment Television, Sky Network Television New Zealand, Galaxy Media/East Coast Pay TV (FOXTEL Australia), OpenTV, C-COR, and ZillionTV Corporation. Mitch is a frequent speaker at domestic and international industry conferences, serves as a member of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, an advisory board member and judge for the UCLA Social Enterprise Academy, a board member of the Silicon Beach Young Professionals, a strategic advisor to the Auckland Tourism, Events & Economic Development/Auckland Mayor’s Office and New Zealand Consul General in Los Angeles.
Mitch earned a master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Southern California (USC) and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA)
Daniel Goman
Principal Business & Technology Advisor
Daniel Goman is a seasoned technology executive, entrepreneur, and innovator with over two decades of experience at the intersection of software, cloud infrastructure, and digital media. As the Founder and driving force behind Ateliere Creative Technologies, he pioneered a new era of cloud-native media supply-chain automation, building award-winning SaaS platforms that transformed how studios, broadcasters, and streaming services manage and deliver content globally.
Under Daniel’s leadership, Ateliere developed Ateliere Connect, the industry’s first fully integrated digital media SaaS supply chain, and Ateliere Connect AI, a groundbreaking Generative AI to analyze, deduplicate, and optimize and monetize media assets at scale. His innovations reduced content preparation times from weeks or months to minutes, reshaping workflows for major media & entertainment companies.
Prior to founding Ateliere, Daniel held senior technical and management roles at Microsoft, Liberty Mutual Insurance, Alcatel-Lucent, BMC Software, and CA Technologies, where he led large-scale enterprise architecture, software development, and global deployment initiatives. At Microsoft, Daniel was part of the Windows PlayReady team, contributing to the development and global rollout of what became the industry standard for secure content delivery—adopted by Netflix, Hulu, and other leading streaming services. His work helped establish PlayReady as a cornerstone technology for digital rights management (DRM) and secure media distribution worldwide.
Daniel’s work has been recognized with numerous industry awards, including NAB Product of the Year (2020–2025), IBC Best of Show, and TVB Europe Best of Show. He has authored over 100 white papers and has been featured in Forbes, CNN, the Times of London, AP, and Mashable. A regular speaker at various technology conferences, he is widely regarded as a thought leader in the fields of media technology, AI-driven automation, and digital transformation.

He has a track record of driving business impact for customers. Eugene’s expertise spans managing high-revenue sales teams, securing major contracts, and pioneering tech solutions for top global clients.
Flavius Goman
President & Managing Director, Ateliere Creative Technologies
Flavius Goman is a seasoned media-technology executive and solutions architect with more than a decade of experience leading transformation at the intersection of cloud engineering, content operations, and enterprise media workflows. Since joining Ateliere Creative Technologies in 2014, he has been a driving force behind the company’s product innovation, strategic growth, and operational excellence - helping establish Ateliere as a trusted technology partner to leading studios, networks, and streaming platforms worldwide.
As President and Managing Director, Flavius oversees global operations, aligning business strategy with technical execution to ensure scalable, data-driven growth. He has been instrumental in defining and expanding Ateliere Connect, the company’s flagship cloud-native media-supply-chain platform, architecting intelligent and automated solutions that streamline distribution, metadata management, and content delivery across multiple markets.
Flavius’s leadership bridges technology and business strategy, drawing from a diverse background in solutions architecture, DevOps, and media systems design. He leads international teams to design and optimize distributed infrastructures, metadata frameworks, and secure cloud workflows that meet the complex needs of global media enterprises.
His core technical expertise includes:
Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps: AWS (EKS, S3, Lambda, IAM, CloudFront, Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes), CI/CD automation, and multi-region deployment strategy.
Media Engineering & Workflow Automation: FFMPEG, AWS Elemental, Dolby Vision, IMF packaging, timed metadata, and advanced transcoding orchestration.
Software Development & API Architecture: GraphQL, REST, Node.js, Python, LiquidJS, JSON/YAML schema design, and event-driven microservices.
Data & Observability: Data lake architecture, media telemetry, analytics dashboards, and operational KPI tracking.
Governance & Security: IAM policy design, encryption standards, audit controls, and compliance frameworks (SOC2, GDPR).
Collaboration & Source Control: Proficient in GitHub, Git-based workflows, and cross-functional version control best practices.
Certified as an AWS Solutions Architect Associate and holder of a SMPTE IMF credential, Flavius is recognized for combining deep technical fluency with strategic insight to drive innovation, reliability, and transparency in global media operations.
As a Board Member, he contributes a hands-on operational and architectural perspective to Ateliere’s governance, ensuring that technology, finance, and client success are aligned under a unified strategic vision. His leadership has been instrumental in driving efficiency, transparency, and sustainable growth for Ateliere and its stakeholders.
Beyond his professional achievements, Flavius is guided by strong faith and a deep commitment to community service - volunteering with nonprofits that support the homeless and those in recovery, while also promoting wellness and creativity through music and health advocacy.
Alexandru Ciocan
Head of Product & Managing Director, Romanian Operations
Alexandru Ciocan is Head of Product and Managing Director of the Romanian team, bringing over 25 years of experience spanning visual effects, post-production, and digital media innovation across global entertainment and technology companies. With nearly a decade at Ateliere, Alexandru combines deep technical expertise with strategic product vision, leading the development of cutting-edge cloud-native solutions that power content workflows for major studios, broadcasters, and streaming platforms worldwide. Throughout his career, Alexandru has held pivotal roles at industry-leading organizations including Kodak Romania, working on major international film productions including the Oscar-winning “Cold Mountain”.
Following this success, Alexandru led the international expansion of the Kodak Romania model, building laboratories from scratch across 7 countries. In this role, he was responsible for the complete establishment of these facilities—from initial setup and equipment procurement to hiring and training staff, managing operations, and implementing the award-winning Romanian model that helped establish multiple territories as premier destinations for high-definition post-production services and digital intermediate workflows. His experience spans Media Pro Pictures, one of Central and Eastern Europe’s largest film and television production companies; Media Pro Magic, where he contributed to building one of the region’s leading VFX and post-production houses working on award-winning films that earned international recognition including prizes at the Cannes Film Festival.
Alexandru co-founded O-Video Studio, a production services division built from the ground up, expanding the company’s capabilities from equipment sales into full-service video production and post-production solutions. At Ateliere, Alexandru’s leadership bridges the gap between creative vision and technical execution, ensuring that product development is informed by real-world production challenges and market needs. His hands-on experience across the entire media supply chain—from camera to screen—enables him to architect solutions that streamline workflows, reduce costs, and accelerate time-to-market for content creators globally.
He holds degrees in Industrial Robotics Engineering from University Politehnica of Bucharest and Economic Cybernetics, Statistics and Computer Science from Bucharest University of Economic Studies, uniquely positioning him to bridge technical excellence with business strategy in transforming how global content is created and delivered.
